FREE Workshop – Working with Young Volunteers. Wednesday 17th July, Taunton.

Wednesday 3rd July, 2019

We’ proud to be supporting this year’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award students with their volunteering placements. Young people are a great resource for your organisation, bringing energy and new ideas. Getting into volunteering at a young age can lead to a lifelong interest in engaging with the community, so by hosting a young student you could have a really positive impact.

If you would like to welcome a Duke of Edinburgh Student into your organisation, join us at this interactive workshop. It will cover:

  • What paperwork you will need
  • The types of role which could attract a young person
  • How to conduct supervision of the student
  • How to ensure you have parental consent

There will also be the chance to ask questions and address any concerns you may have about working with a young volunteer. Working with young volunteers is being held on Wednesday 17th July, from 9.30am to 1pm in Taunton. FREE Admission.
