Under Construction Update – September

Wednesday 11th September, 2019

September is here… leaves are starting to turn, the nights are drawing in and apparently the good TV starts! Now the holiday season has almost finished (for most) we are getting back to business here at Under Construction with lots planned for the upcoming months! Team Under Construction has had a slight change, Shannon will now be with us Mondays and Tuesdays only – after six months here we wish her well in her new Business Support role across the road.

The team and some of our ‘100 Women’ became film stars for the day! The film was to showcase the ‘100 Women First’ project nationally to other Job Centre areas, one of only six projects chosen and as always, we were very happy to talk about it. Watch this space for the final version!

We enjoyed a great family day in August with some of our ‘100 Women’ and their children – all was well until the rain came, great British summertime! We took everyone to National Play Day, held at Apex Park in Highbridge, some had never been or even heard of the annual event.

We have highlighted a number of job opportunities on our Facebook page; if you haven’t liked and followed yet click on the button and add yourself.

HPC Job Service have a number of live vacancies, individual links can be found on our FB page. The Job Service webpage now allows you to register and apply online. If you registered before April 2019 you need to complete the new format registration process, click here to visit.

We have added a range of dates for ‘100 Women First’ drop-ins, there are still spaces for women to join the project and take advantage of the unique support.
